16 Unicorn Street | Saturday Morning
Feb. 1st, 2014 10:10 amSam had only a few times in her life appreciated a place that she had lived more than she appreciated 16 Unicorn Street, and she was keenly aware of how lucky she was that the Alliance had set it up for her. It was hard not to be appreciative on days like today, when she was curled up in an armchair in the living room with Rook and a book on a datapad in her lap, the whole house pleasantly toasty thanks to the electric fireplace that she barely had to exert any effort to turn on. It was perfect, to put it simply.
That was, until Rook's ears perked up and Sam's followed shortly thereafter when a voice snapped out of nowhere, "You'd better get out of here before my parents see you, Skywalker."
Sam startled, looking sharply around the room. Whining, Rook hopped off of her lap to investigate. "Excuse me?" Sam called.
No answer came, to the point that she began to wonder if it might not just be a banner ad in one of the tabs open on her datapad. She didn't quite relax for a while yet, though. Rook didn't, either.
[[open for visitors, and sam sound bite taken with permission! this house has a lot of history.]]
